ees2026 – Nova-781 Launch [EN]

Day one in Munich: QAES and TotalEnergies unveil the Direct Immersion-cooling Luminary Nova-781.
On 23 June, The smarter E Europe 2026 – one of the world’s leading exhibitions for the new-energy industry – opened in Munich. Exhibiting for the third consecutive year, QAES presents its next-generation smart energy storage systems and complete energy solutions at Booth C3.534, Messe München.
On the first day of the show, QAES and global multi-energy company TotalEnergies jointly unveiled the new Direct Immersion-cooling Luminary Nova-781 energy storage system.
Built for an operations-driven market
As Europe moves from installation growth to operational optimisation, the focus is shifting from datasheet parameters to system safety, intelligent dispatch and revenue generation – with storage becoming long-term energy infrastructure rather than standalone equipment. The Luminary Nova-781 is engineered for exactly that: safety, system efficiency and lifecycle value.

What’s new in the Luminary Nova-781
- Safety by design: next-generation immersion thermal management with no-thermal-propagation design, plus high-precision sensors, aerosol fire suppression and pressure relief.
- Long-life cells: >10,000 cycles, with a cell temperature difference of ≤1°C for better consistency and cycle life.
- Broad compatibility: 400 V, 690 V and 800 V PCS platforms – suitable for C&I storage, micro-grids, VPPs, arbitrage and solar-plus-storage.
- Low O&M costs: maintenance-free cooling reduces operating costs and improves long-term project returns.

Cleaner and safer, power everywhere
QAES is advancing its global strategy across energy storage systems, smart energy management, micro-grids and VPPs. Together with partners worldwide, we will keep driving safer, smarter and more efficient energy systems.
