QAES Europe Year-End Update 2025: First Deliveries, New Products, Growing Partner Network

10 cabinets on their way to our first customer, partnerships in four countries, immersion cooling technology in development for Europe: 2025 was a year of execution for QAES Europe — and the starting signal for further growth.
As the year draws to a close, we thank our customers, partners and supporters. In less than twelve months, we have not only developed concepts but also delivered real projects.
From Market Entry to Delivery
Within one year, we have won our first customer orders and shipped our first delivery: 10 All-in-One Cabinets are expected to arrive at our first customer’s site at Lake Constance in early February. Additional projects are in preparation.
Product Portfolio for Europe
For the European market, we continue to develop our portfolio along clear use cases — from C&I applications to utility scale.
Luminary-261: Ready for Europe
Luminary-261 is not a new product, but the current version is fully aligned with the German and European market. We have adapted the system to local grid and standard requirements — including integration of a PCS component according to VDE-4110/4120 standard, enabling even demanding grid connection projects. This creates a solid foundation for grid compliance, project security and bankability in regulated markets.
Luminary-5000: Next-Generation Utility Scale
Our utility-scale platform Luminary-5000 will be available in a new version from April 2026 — including string management capability. This expands flexibility in operations and maintenance concepts for large storage projects with high requirements for availability and performance.
Partner First: Strong Implementation Network
Growth in Europe means reliable project execution. That’s why we invest in long-term collaboration with project developers, EPC partners and electrical contractors. Our “Partner First” approach stands for clear interfaces, standardised execution and a shared roadmap — ensuring projects in Germany, Greece and the Western Balkans are operated successfully in the long term.
Innovation Roadmap 2026: Immersion Cooling
A highlight of our Product Launch Event in Chongqing (September 2025) was the presentation of a “direct-cooled immersion” BESS concept, developed by QAES together with Shell. This technology, known from high-performance data centre cooling, is being systematically transferred to battery storage — with the goal of increasing thermal stability and safety while improving cooling efficiency.
Newly announced: the 418 kWh DC Cabinet as the next generation of our cabinet architecture, developed based on immersion cooling pack technology.
In parallel with the Shell collaboration, we are expanding our technology ecosystem to include additional leading fluid manufacturers. The goal is a multi-supplier strategy with qualified, long-term available dielectric fluids — including validation programmes for material compatibility, ageing, safety and serviceability. This establishes immersion cooling in Europe as a scalable product platform.
Regional Focus 2026
With this technology and product roadmap, we are systematically expanding our market presence:
- Core markets: Germany and Greece
- Development markets: Western Balkans (Serbia, Montenegro and others)
- Next strategic step: Spain
New Structure for the Growth Phase
As we expand our European activities, we are adapting our structure to the next growth phase: Dr. Desheng Li takes over as Managing Director of QAES Europe GmbH to consolidate group-wide governance. Dr. Paschalis Papagrigoriou continues as Authorised Signatory (Prokurist) and General Manager Europe & Western Balkans, responsible for strategic direction and operational expansion of the European business — and remains your direct contact for projects and partnerships.
Outlook
We thank all partners for their trust and look forward to joint projects in 2026.
